On November 17 – 19 Third World Majority (TWM) will launch its pilot security training curriculum and workshop, COINTELNOW. In collaboration with the School of the Americas Watch (SOA Watch), Third World Majority will host two sessions on security for organizations at the SOA Watch Annual Vigil. On Friday, October 20, 2006, at 7pm, Third World Majority will proudly present "Sistas Tellin’ It Like It Is", a community screening and fundraiser celebrating women, trans, and genderqueers of color resisting violence in their communities through digital storytelling. The event will be held in the Ehmann Theater at the YWCA, 1515 Webster St, Oakland, CA (corner of 15th and Webster St). Admission will be $5-10, sliding scale. here for more information.

The Sistas of Third World Majority are putting out a call for our San Francisco Bay Area Women, Trans and Genderqueers of Color Digital Storytelling Workshop. This Bay Area focused digital storytelling workshop will be held in San Francisco, CA on July 28 - 30, 2006.

QTeam Los Angeles: Queer and Trans Youth of Color Multi-issue Organizing will be hosting two nights of performance art that will feature films produced in their Digital Storytelling Workshop with Third World Majority. Guest performers will include Rima Añosa and Oriana Bolden of Third World Majority.

Third World Majority (TWM) joins the Grassroots Global Justice (GGJ) Delegation to the 2004 World Social Forum (WSF) in Mumbai, India, 16-21 January in order to lead a documentation team of activists at the international convening. TWM will support online journals written by GGJ delegates, who will report back to their communities in the US, Canada, and South America about their movement building for global social justice at the WSF.
